Welcome to Acorn and Snake!

My name is Jake Moreland and I offer intuitive readings, shamanic journeys, custom guided meditations, spiritual tools, runic charms, soul retrievals, and nature healings/blessings.

As a child, I was fascinated with nature. Nature beings were my friends and among them were the oak tree and garter snakes. I would always be collecting acorns and be on the look out for snakes. They were my friends. As an adult these nature spirits have deep meaning to me. To me, snake represents rebirth, fire, initiation and wisdom. Oak tree represents strength, deep roots, health, vigor, and ancient wisdom of the ancestors. I invoke the energy of these nature beings as I seek to help my clients through this shamanic practice. This is about creating harmony and balance between the relationships of nature, the spirit world, the community of beautiful humans around me and the interconnectedness of all things.

I offer several different services for different times in our lives. Divination is for those times we seek practical guidance when things aren’t quite clear, a shamanic journey when we are seeking deeper meaning and inspiration from the spirit realm, guided meditations for deep healing and restoration, and soul retrievals when we are lost and seeking wholeness.

ABOUT ME

My name is Jake Moreland and I am a shamanic practitioner and owner of Acorn and Snake, living in Downers Grove, IL. I received shamanic training at Life Force Shamanic Arts and Healing in Chicago. I am experienced in creating and leading shamanic healing rituals and am self-taught in working with tarot and runes. I have been developing my intuitive skills for the past 4 years.

I am also a professional photographer and owner of Two Birds Photography. I love to make art, hike, pick up trash on my walks in the neighborhood, take photos in nature, to laugh, to collect curiosities, gardening, writing in my gratitude journal, making things, and to hang out and play games with my kids.

Topics I am interested in and would like to learn more about: Plants/herbs and their healing properties, growing and harvesting said herbs and plants, runes, reiki, akashic records, the moon, dancing, making video clips of nature, making music, qi gong, yoga, art therapy, raising teenagers, colors and how they affect emotions, nutrition, essential oils, teas, the weather, sacred/power objects, and crafts.
